101st Airborne Commemoration - Heteren

Each year people meet at the Drielse dike
near the A50 highway at the Nederrijn
to commemorate the
101st Airborne Division.

 This year the attendance was limited
and the commemoration was plain
due to Covid rules.

Each year the schoolchildren in the area
take part in a special project
with history lessons
and a creative task
including a presentation
at the commemoration.

The commemoration was followed
by a short informal moment.

And a trip in style
to the Crossroads Monument.
